Whether or not you and your former partner were married, you may not be able to agree arrangements for any children with them. Those arrangements might include with whom the children are to live, when the non-residential parent will have contact with them, or may relate to a specific issue, such as taking the children abroad. If you are the father of the children and you are not married to their mother, then you may want to obtain 'parental responsibility' for them. We can deal with all of these matters for you, although please note that we do not deal with cases involving the Local Authority. Whatever the nature of the problem, we will try to promote a conciliatory atmosphere and to adopt a sensitive, constructive and cost-effective approach whenever possible. This will minimise the risk of any dispute between the parents having an adverse effect upon the children. Children matters are dealt with by John Bolch, who is a member of the Family Law Accreditation Scheme and Resolution, formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association. |
